Family beekeeping enterprise on the main road of Aitanit, West Bekaa, Lebanon. Beekeeping has been Nayef Al Rassi's main source of income since the 1980s. Practices transhumance: hives placed around Tyre for orange-blossom honey, and in the highlands of Saghbine and Aitanit for wild-flower and thistle-blossom honey. Summer harvest features abundant eryngo, wild mint, wild berries and globe thistle blossoms yielding a rich-tasting honey. Sells directly to visitors and through Lebanese specialty grocers.
